CWA Local 1103 Members supported our newest Members at Cablevision at the Peekskill PSC hearing for the Cablevision sale to foreign company Altice.   CWA opposes the sale of cablevision in a debt ridden no money down sale of American company cablevision to Dutch Netherlands company Altice.  In the public comments section of the meeting CWA members spoke of their concern that Altice will follow its corporate raiding formula and have massive layoffs in order to repay the large debt it will amass by purchasing Cablevision.   This is what Altice did in France with its purchase of Numericable-SFR and we fear it is what they will do here.   On hand was Assemblywoman Sandy Galef who told the PSC she opposed the sale.
