Regional Bargaining Report #36   CWA District 1/IBEW Local 2213 and IBEW New England Regional Committees met this week at the Rye Town Hilton in Westchester. The Company passed modified proposals on Family Care Leave, Tuition Assistance Plan and Corporate Profit Sharing. As you know, the Company proposed to eliminate the Family Care Leave (FCL) entirely.

Regional Bargaining Report # 35  Monday, September 28, 2015  CWA District 1/IBEW Local 2213 and IBEW New England Regional Committees met today at the Rye Town Hilton in Westchester.  The Company presented a comprehensive proposal today which contained minimal movement on deductibles and out of pocket maximum amounts in their retrogressive health care proposal.

CWA LOCAL 1103 WINS ARBTRATION CASE AGAINST NYACK Back in October 2013 and up and till the recent decision by the arbitrator, CWA Local 1103 leadership argued with Nyack Hospital management that Nyack's decision to adopt a new health care plan without proper discussion with the Union was in fact a violation of our contract.

On Tuesday, there were further off the record discussions on workplace flexibility. This morning the Union Committee presented another comprehensive proposal to the Company.

August 15th, 2015 marks the 26th anniversary of the passing of Gerry Horgan. Gerry was a member of CWA Local 1103 and was killed on the picket line during the 1989 strike.  Like today Gerry was fighting for Healthcare benefits that a greedy company was attempting to strip away from its unionized employees.
