In accordance with the 2016 collective bargaining agreement the Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) will expire on December 31, 2018 and any unused HRA balance as of December 31, 2018 will be forfeited.

CWA, IBEW and Verizon have reached an agreement in principle to extend the collective bargaining agreements for a four-year period. The current agreements are set to expire on August 3, 2019. If finalized, the agreements will extend through August 5, 2023.
The nomination process for the office of Business Agent in CWA Local 1103 closed at 4:30 pm today. There is only one nominee for the office and delegate to the CWA National Union Convention certified by the election committee. Therefore the Election Committee has convened and cast one vote for the nominee and declares Chis Calabrese duly elected.
As you already know, CWA, IBEW and Verizon began meeting for a two-week period to attempt to negotiate the terms of a possible extension to the collective bargaining agreements that are set to expire in August 2019. We have agreed with the Company to extend the negotiations for a few additional days after the holiday.

War enacts a terrible price. Yet, for some it’s a distance abstract concept happening a world away. For too many it is much closer to home. War affects mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, children yet born and the possibilities of futures that can no longer occur.
As you know, our current collective bargaining agreement with Verizon does not expire until August, 2019, a little less than 15 months from now.
However, Verizon, CWA and IBEW are jointly announcing today that we will be entering into two weeks of bargaining beginning June 18, 2018 to determine whether it is possible to agree on the terms of a contract extension.
