Over the next several days Senators & Assembly members of the NYS legislature will reject cuts in workers compensation under the one-house budget bills/resolutions.  

 This is good news but there is still a full three weeks to go before the budget deadline and we will need to continue lobbying to make sure the proposal stays out of the final budget. 

 Accordingly, the NYS AFL-CIO Executive Council has unanimously passed a resolution calling for the defeat of the proposal.  

 Now we need every NYS worker to join us in a text-to-call program for legislator’s offices.   These actions will make sure legislators receive the message both in Albany and in their district.
