CWA 1103 Meets with Assemlbymen David Buchwald

The fight in Albany pitting Verizon Lobbyists against CWA grassroots efforts to protect Good MiddleCall Telecom jobs continues:

Friday, June 21, 2013, the NYS Assembly passed the VoiceLink Moratorium Bill by a large margin (87-23).  Now we need the Republican controlled NYS Senate to do the same before Saturday night (June 22, 2013).  Yes that’s right the Senate is working on Saturday and we need to contact them in mass to get our Bill on the floor for a vote before they go poolside for the summer.

All Members must call Senators Carlucci and Ball.  Below are their Albany and District Office phone numbers, we need you and your family to call Saturday and keep calling until they tell us there will be a floor vote for our bill to protect our jobs.   We need every member and then their wives, husbands, partners, children and family to call both Senators and tell them:

 “My job and the jobs of 14,000 CWA workers are on the line, I expect Senator (Ball or Carlucci) to get a floor vote for S5630 the VoiceLink Moratorium Bill to protect my family, No excuses.”
