NOTICE OF NOMINATION & SPECIAL ELECTION

There is currently a vacancy in the office of CWA Local 1103 Business Agent – Construction Northern.

In accordance with the CWA Constitution and the CWA Local 1103 By-Laws; the vacancy will filled by election and within 60 days.

On Monday June 10, 2013 nominations will be open for the following elected Local 1103 office:

     Business Agent – Construction Northern & Convention Delegate

Nominations shall be by written petition. Petitions for the office of Business Agent – Construction Northern must contain the printed names and signatures of at least fifty  (50) Members in good standing of Local 1103 and must come from the group(s) assigned within the jurisdiction of the office.

All petitions must state the name of the nominee and the title of the office for which he/she is a candidate. All petitions must bear a dated and signed statement by the nominee that he/she will serve if elected.

Nominating petitions will be available upon request from the Local 1103 office effective 9am, Monday, June 10, 2013 through Friday June 21, 2013, 5pm, and can be picked up at the Union Hall in person during regular business hours Monday through Friday (8am – 5pm), or will be mailed upon request.

Nominating Petitions must be received at Local 1103 Headquarters by 12 noon, Monday, June 24, 2013. Certification of eligibility will be completed by 5pm, Monday, June 24, 2013.

Ballots will be mailed to the Membership on Monday, July 1, 2013. In order to be counted, ballots must be received at the designated location no later than Friday, July 19, 2013, at 10am.
