NOTICE OF NOMINATION & SPECIAL ELECTION

CWA Local 1103 Secretary-Treasurer Doug Sheahan has tendered his written resignation which will become effective at the close of business Friday, March 29, 2013.

Effective March 30, 2013 there will be a vacancy in the office of CWA Local 1103 Secretary-Treasurer.

In accordance with the CWA Constitution and the CWA Local 1103 By-Laws; the vacancy will filled by election and within 60 days.

On Monday April 1, 2013 nominations will be open for the following elected Local 1103 office:

      Secretary/Treasurer & Convention Delegate

Nominations shall be by written petition. Petitions for the office of Secretary-Treasurer must contain the printed names and signatures of at least one hundred (100) Members in good standing of Local 1103.

All petitions must state the name of the nominee and the title of the office for which he/she is a candidate. All petitions must bear a dated and signed statement by the nominee that he/she will serve if elected.

Nominating petitions will be available upon request from the Local 1103 office effective 9am, Monday, April 1, 2013 through Wednesday April 17, 2013, 5pm, and can be picked up at the Union Hall in person during regular business hours Monday through Friday (8am – 5pm), or will be mailed upon request.

Nominating Petitions must be received at Local 1103 Headquarters by 12 noon, Friday, April 19, 2013. Certification of eligibility will be completed by 5pm, Friday, April 19, 2013.

Ballots will be mailed to the Membership on Monday, April 29, 2013. In order to be counted, ballots must be received at the designated location no later than Monday, May 20, 2013, at 10am.
