On January 13, 2017, CWA Local 1103 President Kevin Sheil was honored and received the Labor Partner Award from the Don Bosco Board of Directors. This was due to our Local's efforts to fight against and eliminate wage theft in Port Chester, NY. Wage theft is a crime. It is a crime that hurts people living and working in our communities. Anyone can be impacted by wage theft, but it disproportionately impacts those with the least amount of power. It denies opportunities, intimidates and oppresses people in our community. As long as some are forced into working this way, we are all at risk. Our workplaces are not really so far apart.
CWA Local 1103 is very proud of our partnership with the Don Bosco Workers Center.
