Happy Labor Day!
It’s important to remember why we celebrate Labor Day. Labor Day is a holiday created by unions and labor activists to celebrate the American worker. It’s also a holiday that proudly and unabashedly honors organized labor and its contributions to our nation.
Unions are working people coming together to build a better life. To build a middle class. To build opportunity for the next generation.
Organized labor changed the fate of the American worker, which is why we are so proud of our Union and the labor movement.
It’s our holiday. Celebrate.
Happy Labor Day!
In unity,
CWA’s Local 1103 Executive Board
"Our unions have fought for aid to education, for better housing, for development of our national resources and for saving the family-sized farms. They have spoken, not for narrow self-interest, but for the public interest and for the people."
John F. Kennedy
